Join Our Community Resource Team
The Community Resource Team is the team of adults who are the foundation for making Student Venture’s outreach effective in a community. Being a Community Resource Team volunteer means you will look for ways to help expand the scope and quality of Student Venture in your community. Below are the ways that you can be part of the Team!
Service Group:
You are on call and used for service roles, which will facilitate the effectiveness of Student Venture’s outreach. The Service Group supplies what it takes to help make Student Venture effective. Typically, the Service Group would:
- Provide food for meetings and outreaches.
- Help arrange meeting places.
- Chaperone events and meetings as needed.
- Host parent informational meetings.
- Host Community Resource Team meetings.
- Give rides to and from meetings as needed.
- Promote Student Venture in the community.
Financial Resources:
The Student Venture Financial Resources Group helps raise the funding it takes to run Student Venture in a local community. This typically includes:
- Helping to arrive at the budget for the local Student Venture outreach.
- Helping to design the fund raising strategy.
- Running the fund raising strategies – i.e. banquet, golf marathon, etc.
- Communicating the need for funds to other parents and interested people.
- Helping to evaluate the financial health of Student Venture in for a local community.
- Giving to Student Venture.
Prayer Partners:
I would like to be a prayer partner. I will pray at least once a week for Student Venture. The goal of this team is to pray for every student at the school by name. A Prayer Partner is someone who agrees to pray at least once a week for Student Venture. The team will also facilitate others praying through:
- Keeping and adding to the prayer partner database.
- Communicating regularly with the prayer partner base in a local community.
- Helping organize special prayer dates or meetings as your strategy dictates.
- Helping to organize or participating in a local Mom’s In Touch group.
